In our times, rabbit meat is used mainly in gourmet restaurants, because it is pure white meat, very tender, low in fat and cholesterol, which makes it an excellent choice of a lean meat of supreme taste.

Due to its low percentage in fat and cholesterol, dieticians and physicians highly suggest it as a part of a healthier diet, as it is viewed in the lists of the most healthy and nutritious foods, low in calories, but of a great nutritional value and highly beneficial even to sensitive groups as people with heart problems.

As it provides the organism with the highest level of proteins of great biological value and also vitamins, essential to the energy needs of athletes, it is most preferred, because it gives them the necessary energy and vitality, while at the same time, lacks in fats and cholesterol.
